What is a Coordinated School Health Program?
A Coordinated School Health Program (CSH) is a Centers for Disease Control and Prevention model designed to coordinate health and education. This comprehensive approach to school health improves students' health and capacity to learn through support of families, communities, and schools working together through prevention and intervention.
The CSH model is based on the generally agreed upon concept that healthy children are better learners, and experience school success more readily, when their health needs are addressed.
